Job Description

About mymuybueno Private Chefs

mymuybueno is a leading luxury hospitality and private staff agency, trusted by UHNW families, high-profile individuals, and superyachts worldwide. We pride ourselves on representing only the finest talent, with a strong emphasis on professionalism, discretion, and exceptional culinary standards.

We are seeking an accomplished Private Chef (Live Out) for a modern UHNW family home in London. This is a seasonal position from September through to the end of June, cooking for two principals and their two children (all under 12), with a focus on fresh, healthy, and beautifully presented cuisine.

Role Snapshot – What You’ll Be Working On

You will oversee all food-related operations within the household: planning and executing daily menus, managing procurement with a strong emphasis on organic and seasonal produce, and delivering restaurant-quality meals that are also family-friendly and nutritious. The family particularly enjoys Asian flavours and Ottolenghi-style dishes with vibrant vegetables, grains, and herbs. You will balance sophisticated, health-led cooking for the principals with wholesome, appealing meals for the children, ensuring consistency, flexibility, and discretion at all times.

You just be able to work in the UK, and live in London in order to be considered for this role.

Key Aspects of the Role

- Healthy, Modern Cuisine: Create balanced, light, and flavour-forward menus with a strong emphasis on organic, seasonal ingredients, incorporating Asian influences and Ottolenghi-inspired sharing dishes, salads, and sides.
- Family-Focused Cooking: Cater to both adults and young children, adapting textures, spice levels, and presentation while maintaining a cohesive culinary style for the whole family.
- Live-Out London-Based Position: You will commute daily to the family residence in London, working mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends as required by the family’s schedule.
- Household Integration: Collaborate smoothly with other household staff, align with schedules and routines, and maintain an impeccably clean, organised, and efficient kitchen at all times.
- Seasonal Engagement: This role runs from September until the end of June, ideal for a chef who enjoys structured, long-term seasonal placements with UHNW families.

Why Join mymuybueno?

Working through mymuybueno means you are represented by a specialist agency that understands the unique demands of private households and UHNW clients. We take care to match you with families who value quality, respect, and professionalism. You will

- Cook at a consistently high level with excellent ingredients in a well-equipped private kitchen.
- Enjoy a stable, structured role during the contracted season with a respectful, modern family.
- Have the support of an experienced agency that champions your standards, professionalism, and wellbeing.

Who You Are

You are a polished, confident Private Chef with proven experience in UHNW homes, five-star hotels, or high-end restaurants, who genuinely enjoys cooking healthy, modern, family-friendly cuisine. You are hands-on, calm under pressure, and able to work independently with minimal direction. Discreet and service-oriented, you understand the boundaries of working in a private residence, and you adapt gracefully to changing plans and preferences.

You take pride in ingredient sourcing, kitchen organisation, and presentation, and you can translate complex flavour profiles into clean, nourishing dishes that work for both adults and children.

How to Apply

If you meet the requirements below and are excited by the opportunity to work with a discerning UHNW family in London from September to end of June, please apply via mymuybueno with your up-to-date CV, a brief cover note outlining your relevant private household experience, and a sample portfolio or example menus that showcase your healthy, Asian-inspired, and Ottolenghi-style cooking. Only candidates with the right to work in the UK and relevant private experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals for the principals and two children, focusing on healthy, seasonal, and visually appealing dishes
- Design and adapt menus that highlight Asian flavours and Ottolenghi-style cuisine, incorporating a wide range of vegetables, grains, and fresh herbs

- Prepare meals for varying schedules, including school routines, work commitments, and occasional entertaining or guests
- Maintain an immaculate, well-organised kitchen, ensuring top-level hygiene standards, correct food storage, and regular cleaning of all equipment and spaces
- Manage stock rotation, pantry organisation, and efficient use of ingredients to minimise waste while maintaining quality
- Coordinate meal times and service style (plated, family-style, buffet) in line with the family’s preferences and daily agenda
- Communicate proactively with the principals and household staff to understand plans, preferences, and any special occasions or events
- Uphold complete discretion, confidentiality, and a calm, professional presence within the home at all times

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Private Chef for UHNW families, luxury households, or top-tier restaurants/hotels
- Strong repertoire in healthy, modern cuisine with clear examples of Asian and Ottolenghi-style cooking

- High level of discretion, professionalism, and understanding of UHNW household dynamics and expectations
- Self-sufficient, highly organised, and able to work independently while coordinating smoothly with other staff
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule (primarily weekdays, with some evenings/weekends) from September to end of June
- Right to live and work in the UK and based within a commutable distance of central London (live-out role)
- Professional culinary training or equivalent high-level experience with strong, checkable references
